How do individuals get assigned to a team?
Once registration has closed, YRSSC will take the individual
registrants and place them on a team together, honouring co-player
requests (assuming there are enough registrants to assemble a team).
This will then be a set team for the remainder of the season. You will
have the opportunity to view your teammates information in the roster
section of your profile once the schedule is posted.
How do I pick up equipment and pay for the deposit?
Equipment can be picked up at our office, located at 185 Bridgeland
Avenue, Suite #110, Toronto from Monday to Friday between the hours of 9AM and
5PM. The deposit can be paid when you arrive at our office by Visa,
Mastercard, Cash or Cheque or it can be paid online during registration
How do I get Sporting Life Discount Cards?
In order to receive your Sporting Life Discount Card, email
sportinglife@tcssc.com how
many cards you need and the mailing address you wish the cards to be
sent to.
What's my username and password?
If you have forgotten your username and/or password, there is a
reset function located at the sign in page
www.yrssc.com/member/signin.php.
How do I change the team name and colour?
Please log onto your profile, choose the team you wish to change the
information for, click on 'Review Team', click on 'Edit' in the Team
Information section and save your changes.
How do I report my score?
In order to report the score of your game, please have the captain
or co-captain log onto their profile, click to view the schedule, click
on the white box beside the game they wish to report the score for, and
then choose the 'Report Score' option in the drop down menu. This will
give your captain or co-captain access to report the score of the game
and the spirit points for your opponents.
When does the season start?
Start dates for all sports can be found in our Sports Offered page
www.yrssc.com/member/sportsoffered.php. Please click on the
specific sport you wish to find the start date for and a pop up will
appear with further information.
What does my team get if we win?
At the end of every season, YRSSC has a Season End Party to
celebrate the season and hand out awards to championship teams. These
awards include a set of YRSSC team shirts, a prize ball or sponsor
prize, as well as various other prizes determined by our sponsors.
Where will I be playing?
Locations are not determined until registration has closed. At this
point in time, we will allocate the locations according to the
registration numbers and determine what sports are best suited for the
facilities we were able to obtain.
I am no longer able to play my sport. Can I get a refund?
As per our Refund Policy, we do not refund after the registration
deadline date. However; if you can no longer play, there is the option
of selling your spot to someone else of the same gender (to fill out the
gender requirements). Once the person has expressed interest and
purchases your spot, we will get them registered and take their payment
to purchase your spot from that point forward. We will then refund you
for the games they purchase from you. NOTE: you can search the Forum
www.yrssc.com/forum/forum.php
for possible players to fill your spot as well.
My schedule says I'm playing at 12:00AM at 'location pending', what does
this mean?
If your schedule indicates a midnight start time and says location
pending, it is because YRSSC has been informed of a cancellation in a
permit which has affected your game. We are in the midst of looking for
a new venue and start time to get your game played. Once we secure a new
permit for your game, we will update it in your profile. If the change
is within a week of the game, you will receive an email from us updating
you about the change.
I would like to be contacted when registration opens - how do I do this?
YRSSC would love to inform you when registration opens for the next
season. All you have to do is email
info@yrssc.com and we will email you
prior to registration opening for the next season.
I still see "not yet assigned" in my profile - what's going on?
Once you have registered and paid for your sport(s), your individual
registration will appear in your profile as 'Not Yet Assigned'to a team.
Your profile will remain as such until YRSSC posts your schedule. If it
turns out that we were unable to accommodate the registration, you will
be emailed suggesting alternative arrangements. If you do not hear
anything from YRSSC, please be patient as we are in the midst of
assembling your team and will notify you when we have placed you on a
team and posted your schedule. Remember, “no news is good news!”
My captain continues to send me an invitation to join a team but I am
not receiving it, what should I do?
If your captain is sending you an invitation to become apart of the team
and you're not receiving it, there maybe firewalls inhibiting you from
receiving the invitation. If your captain is sending the invitation to
your work account, the only way to get the invitation through is to have
the captain send the invitation to their own email account and forward
it to you. Another option is to have the captain send the invitation to
a personal email account. If you are using a personal email account and
you are still not receiving the invitation, it may be filtering to your
junk folder. Therefore, you will need to put YRSSC emails on a safe
list.
I'm having problems accepting my invitation, what should I do?
If you are having troubles accepting your invitation, please have
the captain send a copy of the invitation to their own email account.
They can then test the URL themselves to see if it works. If the URL is
successful, they can forward that invitation to you for you to accept.
If not, please contact YRSSC.
I've registered, now what do I do?
You are officially registered once you have paid for a sport with
YRSSC. When it comes to us, “no news is good news”. You will only hear
from us if we are not able to accommodate you. If you are a team
captain, please log onto your profile and send out invitations for
teammates to accept and become a member of your team. If you have
previously played with them before, you can simply click them over from
a previous team.
Please do not call or email asking for schedule information! We
will email you when it is posted at the website.
Once schedules for a season have been
posted, they will be viewable at your profile.
The scheduling period is an intense time at the YRSSC office.
Therefore, it may take longer for us to return phone calls and emails.
We appreciate your patience and will respond to messages as quickly as
scheduling allows.
